Chris Paul Has High Expectations For This Season

The Rockets managed to pull off one of the best trades this off-season but not too many remember or went crazy about it. The Rockets added a top 10 player. YES, a top 10 player, alongside a top 5 player in the league. Chris Paul will be the addition the Rockets have been wanting for years: A player able to take the ball out of Harden’s hands and make him a true shooting guard. Harden has been vocal about it, and so has Morey. We all know what Harden can do as a shooting guard, and he is able to tear up teams. Harden lost his bounce this season due to the offensive workload he had to carry, he just lost his spring that he used to have. CP3 is here to let Harden rest more (he has led the league in minutes for the past 3 years), and create shooting opportunities for the Rockets in the midrange level. This is a team who takes the least amount of mid-range shots in the league. Morey ball is on another planet, and CP3 might be able to space the floor even more being a deadly mid-range player.

CP3 is excited to join the team as shown in his conference and his practices the past few days. Rockets have made sure to create a easy transition for CP3 and allowed him to freely flow in the offense. Watching the film this week, CP3 looks like he owns this offense. He can move around freely, and is able to pass anywhere on the court. CP3 is ready to win with the Rockets, and he’s been vocal about it. He knows this is the best team he’s ever been with, and also the best player he’s played alongside as well. Harden will allow CP3 freedom to shoot and move around while Harden opens up the floor for him with his outside perimeter shooting. CP3 & Harden are a pairing that might be super deadly in the league. Harden can rest more, and hopefully increase his shooting %’s and numbers all around. He may no longer be considered for MVP, but his eyes are on the championship trophy. Hopefully this is a pairing we are able to love for the rest of year and get excited about. The Rockets aren’t too far away from pre-season basketball, and I know I’m ready. Harden & CP3 are ready as well.
