You have probably noticed that CBD oil distributors are popping up all over Houston. You may have questions about whether it is legal to buy and use in Texas, and, if so, whether it works.
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is an oil derived from the marijuana plant or cannabis. This plant produces thousands of compounds. The two best known are probably tetrahydrocannobinol (THC) and CBD. THC is the substance in marijuana that gives people the high feeling, and is the substance that is banned under Texas criminal law. As long as CBD oil is free from THC, it is legal to buy, sell, and consume.
Just because CBD oil is legal does not mean that it is right for everyone. Proponents claim that CBD’s benefits include: pain management, anti-nausea, anti-psychotic, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, seizure suppression, anxiety reduction, and appetite stimulant. While many of these claims are anecdotal, there some research that supports some of these claims.
In fact, CBD’s advocates suggest that is not only good for humans, but can help our companion animals with a variety of ailments, as well.
While CBD oil may not be right for everyone, it certainly seems like many Houstonians are ready to see if it is right for them!
