The Rockets were blown out against the Warriors on Sunday night in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. The Rockets were sluggish around the court and many shots were just not going in like they were the past two games. The loss on Sunday marked the worst loss in franchise history which was a whopping 41 points. Now the Golden State Warriors are a great team, and not to be taken lightly, but when you’re considered the greatest threat to GSW, you can’t lose by 40+. It’s unacceptable, and it hurts the teams’ value in the national media eyes.

Mike D’Antoni had a few words for the Rockets after their loss against Golden State where Mike said: “We played soft actually. You can’t do that with these guys.” (Quote from Jonathan Feigen’s Twitter). James Harden also agreed with Mike and said “He’s right. We weren’t as aggressive as we needed to be. We started off the game pretty solid and we let them gain some confidence. They didn’t feel us and it showed tonight.” (Quote from Jonathan Feigen’s Twitter). The Rockets know that they didn’t play to their full potential last night, and once Curry started to get hot in the second half, the Rockets had to throw in the towel with how the night was going. Harden had only 32 minutes played which was one of his lowest this postseason, and the Rockets are all in on Game 4 knowing they need to win back homecourt to take the series to 7.

The Rockets are currently down 2-1 in the Western Conference Finals and they do not have homecourt advantage as they lost a game at home. Currently, the Warriors are keeping their homecourt secured unless the Rockets take a game back at their home court. Game 4 is Tuesday and the Rockets need a win here to keep their season alive.
