Every Rockets fan knows that James Harden is part of the heart and soul of the Houston Rockets.  Today, he bought into the company that has the controlling interest in the Dynamo and the Dash.  Can he bring that same energy and excitement to Houston’s soccer scene?

There is no doubt that soccer is hot right now, due, in no small part, to the USA women’s team recent world victory.

While soccer might be big worldwide, it has not found the support you would expect in the United States.  This comes as a surprise to soccer fans, because the fast-paced game offers more constant action than almost any other professional sport.

Houston even has two awesome soccer teams.  Our men’s team is Houston Dynamo:

Our women’s team is the Houston Dash:

While both teams have plenty of Houston fans, they have struggled to find their footing in a town that focuses more on baseball, football, and, of course, basketball.

Can Harden bring some of his magic to the Dynamo and the Dash?  Only time will tell, but we are excited to see what this new combination of some of Houston’s greatest athletes will bring to our city!
